Robert Spector
Robert Spector, from Montreal, is President of Spector & Co. that supplies large companies, such as Tesla, Ubisoft and GM to countless mom-and-pop shops with branded products. He bases his success by, “…treating people with respect and having integrity.”
In 1991, after completing his MBA at the University of New Hampshire, Robert was working as a marketing manager at a consumer electronics company. Robert’s father, Allen Spector, was semi-retired, when they went into business marketing branded products.
Today, Spector & Co. has a network of approximately 10,000 distributors across Canada and the United States.
Spector says he hopes the next chapter of his career will allow him to teach budding entrepreneurs what he learned. In November 2021, Spector gave a guest a lecture at Concordia about setting a culture of belonging and performance in an entrepreneurial environment.
“I’m working hard, but not as hard as I used to,” he says. “I’m thinking more about my future in terms of what I’m passionate about and how I can give back to the community.” Technion Canada is proud to have Robert Spector the National Board in his effort to give back to the community.
