David Bensoussan

Dr. David Bensoussan was born in Morocco and immigrated to Israel as a teenager.  He graduated from Technion’s Faculty of Electrical Engineering in 1970. Following his service in the Israeli Air Force, he moved to Montreal where he completed a PhD in Electrical Engineering at McGill University. David served on the Technion Canada Board of Directors and is an active member of the Canadian Technion Alumni Association. David is a Member of the Technion – Israel Institute’s International Board of Governors, and a Technion Canada Montreal Council Member.

Dr. Bensoussan has been a professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering at the École de technologie supérieure de l’Université du Québec since 1980. He is a member of the Academic Council of the Canadian Institute for Jewish Research and member of the Commission on University Research and Education of the Conseil supérieur de l’éducation of the Quebec Government. He has published extensively in the field of control, telecommunications and energy and has filed many patents.

Dr. Bensoussan has served as President of the Communauté Sépharade Unifiée du Québec and has been involved in philanthropic and community organizations for many years. He has also served as a member of the Cross Cultural Round Table on Security of Canada and of the Selection advisory Board at Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada. He currently serves on the Board of Technion Canada.
