The Centennial Campaign
Develop Impact Technologies
The Technion is consistently ranked among the top 20 universities in the world in the fields of computer science, AI, robotics, quantum, and nanotechnologies. More than 70% of graduates are employed in the high-tech sector and alumni have started 729 companies to date. Considering the size of the country and available resources, the range of scientific achievement and the scope of global impact is remarkable.
The Technion plans to raise its academic rankings even higher and produce high-tech innovations that strengthen Israel’s economy and security, while also bettering the world.
Your gift for research and development in impact technologies will support:
Creation of an Academic-Industry Ecosystem. Corporate R&D centers are being encouraged to move to campus. Research fellowships are being offered to scientists from the private sector to engage in research, teaching, and mentoring. Substantial resources are being invested to improve the commercialization process of new technologies.
Expansion in Computer Science. Researchers in computer science are addressing a vast range of topics, from cryptology and enhanced data storage to neural networks and computer vision — all tools of unprecedented informational power. To accommodate a burgeoning undergraduate population and growing faculty, the Technion is building a state-of-the-art facility that will enable expansion of its research in geometrical image processing, virtual reality, cybersecurity, and more.
Expansion in Nanotechnology. Nanotechnology is revolutionizing all industries and impacts many fields of study at the Technion: medicine, energy, computer engineering, sustainability, and more. With its complete set of micro- and nano-fabrication tools, the Technion can manufacture tiny devices with high precision — ranging from orthopedic implants to quantum devices.
Advancements in Additive Manufacturing. The Technion develops novel 3D-printing techniques and applications for industry sectors, including healthcare, transportation, energy, aerospace, and homeland security. Enabling further advances in research, coursework, and product development will help enhance Israel’s capabilities in manufacturing.
Help the Technion push the boundaries of technology to produce innovations that transform the world and sustain Israel as a global high-tech leader. Donate to the Centennial Campaign today.
